Having been caring for children since 1995, our friendly and diverse male and female team provides childcare from birth to five years. All members of staff have been DBS checked to an enhanced level and are fully trained in Paediatric First Aid, Level 2 Safeguarding, Level 2 Food Hygiene, manual handling and fire safety. In addition to this, childcare qualifications amongst our team of Early Years Educators range from Level 2 NVQ Children's Workforce up to Level 6 Early Years Degree. We attend regular training to keep us up to date and we understand the importance of training and quality monitoring systems offered by Surrey County Council, which help us to continually develop our practice.
We are inspected by Ofsted who rated Woodlands Day Care as "Outstanding" during our previous reviews. As members of Surrey County Council's home based child carers, our coordinator visits to advise us of any changes to Ofsted's procedures. We are required to effectively monitor the setting, using Ofsted's Self Evaluation Form (SEF) and parent questionnaires to improve and update the service that we provide.
In order to help parents pay for childcare, we accept Childcare Vouchers, the Tax-Free Childcare scheme, and funding from Surrey County Council such as Funded Early Education for Two year olds (FEET) and Early Years Free Entitlement (EYFE), including the 30 hours, depending on parent eligibility.
